Following the Style | Daphne Guiness

My choice of todays following the style is very particular. In the middle of the Fashion Weeks and when articles of opinion about Streetstyle are emerging ( Man Repellers followers know what I'm talking about , you can see it here) I decided that it was time to post someone that has a different, to say at least, style. It is true that fashion weeks all over the world, started to become a "go to" point for attention seekers, wearing the most outlandish outfits just to catch a photographers eye and have their 5 minutes of fame. But we can't judge everyone that goes to fashion weeks as strange and attention seeker, there is, and always will be a lot of fashion professionals with a lot of knowlodge and a opinion that's worth listening. 

Regarding the "weird looking" people that really cross our path every day, I always admired them. People who dress accordingly to their taste is something wonderful to see. Owning our own style and embracing it is pretty amazing( I confess that sometimes I'm not a total "embracer" of my own style for many reasons). They truly exist outside the fashion weeks circuit. Bill Cunningham has been capturing the most amazing streetstyle on the streets of New York for the past decades, way before the blogger era, and he has captured pretty outrageous outfits. 

Ok so it's time that I'll stop rambling about streetstyle during fashion week, which i honestly love, and show you some pictures of Daphne Guiness , the heiress of the Guiness ( yeah the beer) empire, a pretty peculiar looking woman that hates when people say she is eccentric. 

What's your opinion about all this matter? What would you think if you crossed someone on the street looking like Daphne?

A minha escolha para este Following the Style não foi um acaso. No meio da época das semanas de moda e com os artigos de opinião sobre no que se tornou o streetstyle das semanas de moda ( os seguidores da Man Repeller sabem do que eu estou a falar, podem vê-lo aqui) decidi que estava na altura de postar uma pessoa com um estilo muito particular. 

É verdade que as semanas de moda de todo um mundo se estão a tornar num lugar de exibições, onde as pessoas tentam o tudo por tudo para chamarem a atenção dos fotógrafos e terem os seus 5 minutos de fama. Mas não podemos julgar a parte pelo todo, nem toda a gente que vai a semanas da moda está há procura de atenção, sempre houve e sempre haverá quem perceba da coisa e que tem uma opinião muito válida que merece ser ouvida.

Relativamente às pessoas que se vestem de maneira"estranha" com que nos cruzamos todos os dias, como muitos se gostam de referir, sempre os admirei. Pessoas que se vestem segundo o seu gosto e assumem o seu estilo é qualquer coisa de brilhante. Ter o nosso estilo e manifesta-lo com toda a confiança é algo que acho espectacular. Essas pessoas realmente existem e alguns fora dos circuitos de moda. O famoso fotógrafo Bill Cunningham anda a fotografar pessoas extremamente interessantes nas ruas de Nova Iorque há décadas, muito antes da era dos blogs.

Ok, acho que está na hora de finalmente vos mostrar algumas imagens da eleita de hoje, Daphne Guiness, herdeira do imperio Guiness ( sim , o da cerveja) , uma mulher com um estilo bastante peculiar que odeia quando lhe chamam excêntrica.
